How this inflation calculator works
The calculator applies the annual inflation rate entered over the number of years entered. Future equivalent uses today's amount multiplied by the inflation factor.
Purchasing power mode
Purchasing power mode converts a future amount back into today's terms using the same inflation assumption. Negative rates above -100% can be used for deflation scenarios.
What this calculator does not include
This tool does not use CPI data, historical inflation releases, live economic data, investment returns, wage growth, tax effects or exchange-rate changes.
