Image Converter

Choose an image, pick a browser-supported output format and download a converted copy from your browser. Transparent images converted to JPG need a background color because JPG does not support transparency.

Convert an image

Choose one JPG, PNG or WebP image, pick an output format, then download a converted copy.

WebP output appears only when this browser reports support.

90%

Applies to JPG and WebP output. PNG output ignores this style of quality setting.

JPG does not support transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with this color.

Dimensions stay the same in this tool. Use Image Resizer when width or height needs to change.

Browser-based file processing

Files are processed in your browser. NoNoiseTools does not need to upload this image to a server for this tool.

Large files may use browser memory and may be limited by canvas or file-processing support.

Avoid uploading highly sensitive files to any online tool unless you understand how it works.

How this image converter works

Choose one JPG, PNG or WebP image, then select the output format. The tool decodes the image in your browser, draws it to a canvas at the same dimensions and creates a local download from the generated file.

JPG vs PNG vs WebP notes

JPG is usually useful for photos and smaller files, but it does not keep transparency. PNG is useful for transparency, screenshots and crisp edges, though it can be larger. WebP can be efficient when the browser supports decoding and exporting it.

Transparency and JPG backgrounds

PNG and WebP files can contain transparent pixels. When the output is JPG, this tool fills those transparent areas with the selected background color because JPG has no transparency channel.

Privacy notes

The image is processed in this browser tab. NoNoiseTools does not need a server upload for this tool, and the converted download is created locally.

Browser-side processing avoids a required upload, but highly sensitive images still need caution on any website, shared device or managed browser.

Large files may use browser memory and may be limited by canvas or file-processing support.

What this tool does not include

This tool runs without a required server upload. It does not batch-convert many files, resize by default, compress to an exact target size, remove backgrounds, edit image content, guarantee metadata preservation or convert HEIC, AVIF, TIFF, RAW, SVG or animated image formats.

Key terms and assumptionsBrowser processing notes, format support, quality settings, transparency, metadata and local downloads.
Browser processing
Images are decoded and exported in this browser tab using canvas APIs. NoNoiseTools does not need a server upload for this tool.
Image limits
Images over 25 MB, over 16,384 pixels on one side or over 50 megapixels are rejected for browser memory safety.
Format support
JPG and PNG output are broadly supported; WebP output is offered only when the browser reports support.
Quality setting
Quality applies to JPG and WebP output. PNG output may ignore quality because it uses a different encoding model.
Transparency
PNG and WebP can contain transparency. JPG output fills transparent pixels with the selected background color.
Metadata
Canvas export may omit metadata such as EXIF, and this tool does not guarantee metadata preservation.
No server storage
The tool creates a local Blob download in the browser tab and does not store image files on a NoNoiseTools server.

FAQs

Is my image uploaded?

No required upload. The image is decoded and exported in this browser tab, and the converted download is created locally.

What formats can I convert?

This version supports JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP when your browser can decode the input and export the selected output format.

Can I convert PNG to JPG?

Yes. Transparent areas need a background color because JPG does not support transparency.

Can I convert WebP to PNG or JPG?

Yes, when your browser can decode WebP. Older or restricted browsers may not support every WebP input or output path.

Why did the converted file get larger?

Format, quality, transparency and browser encoder behavior can make a converted image larger than the original.

Does this keep image metadata?

This tool does not promise metadata preservation. Browser canvas export may omit metadata such as EXIF.

Can I resize or compress the image too?

Not in this tool. Use Image Resizer for dimensions or Image Compressor when the main goal is reducing file size.

Can I convert HEIC, AVIF, TIFF or RAW files?

No. This version stays focused on JPG, PNG and WebP browser image formats.
