Browser-based file processing

Files are processed in your browser. NoNoiseTools does not need to upload this image to a server for this tool.

Large files may use browser memory and may be limited by canvas or file-processing support.

Avoid uploading highly sensitive files to any online tool unless you understand how it works.

How JPG to PNG conversion works

The JPG is decoded in your browser, drawn to a canvas at the same dimensions and exported as a PNG download using the shared image converter engine.

Why PNG files can be larger

PNG uses a different encoding model from JPG. For photos and complex images, the PNG download can be larger even though the dimensions are unchanged.

Quality and transparency limits

Converting to PNG does not rebuild detail removed by JPG compression and does not create transparency. It creates a PNG copy of the pixels your browser can decode from the original JPG.

Privacy notes

The image is processed in this browser tab. NoNoiseTools does not need a server upload for this tool, and the PNG download is created locally.

Browser-side processing avoids a required upload, but highly sensitive images still need caution on any website, shared device or managed browser.

Large files may use browser memory and may be limited by canvas or file-processing support.

What this tool does not include

This shortcut runs without a required server upload. It does not batch-convert files, resize by default, restore lost JPG quality, restore transparency, remove backgrounds, promise metadata preservation or guarantee a smaller file.

FAQs

Is my JPG uploaded?

No required upload. The JPG is decoded and exported as PNG in this browser tab, and the download is created locally.

Will converting to PNG improve image quality?

No. PNG output cannot restore detail already lost in the original JPG.

Will the PNG have transparency?

No. A JPG does not contain transparency, so converting it to PNG does not create transparent pixels.

Why is the PNG larger than the JPG?

PNG uses a different format and can be larger for photos or complex images.

Can I keep the image dimensions?

Yes. This shortcut keeps the original JPG dimensions. Use Image Resizer if the width or height needs to change.

Does this keep image metadata?

This tool does not promise metadata preservation. Browser canvas export may omit metadata such as EXIF.

Can I convert multiple JPGs at once?

Not in this version. The page converts one JPG or JPEG at a time.
