How this assignment planner works

The planner counts calendar days from the selected start date to the due date, estimates available work days from your days-per-week setting and divides the entered work hours across those days.

Work hours versus task rows

Total-hours mode is the smallest option when you already have one estimate. Task mode sums simple task rows so you can keep research, drafting and revision estimates visible without turning the tool into a task manager.

What this tool does not include

This planner does not create reminders, sync calendars, account for holidays or know late policies. It is a workload calculator using the dates and hours entered.

Key terms and assumptionsShort notes about due dates, available work days, task rows and workload limits.
Plain dates
The planner uses local calendar dates, not timezone-sensitive instants.
Due date option
The due date is excluded from work days unless the include-due-date option is enabled.
Task rows
Fully blank task rows are ignored. Active rows need a task name and positive hours.
Available days
Available days per week estimates work days in the selected date range.
No reminders
This tool does not sync calendars, send reminders or know school late policies.

FAQs

How does this assignment planner work?

It divides your estimated work hours by the available work days before the due date.

Does it include the due date?

The due date is excluded by default, with an option to include it as a work day.

Can I enter tasks instead of total hours?

Yes. Task mode sums estimated hours from task rows.

Does it create calendar reminders?

No. It is a simple calculator and does not sync calendars or send reminders.

What happens if the due date has passed?

The tool shows an overdue warning instead of a normal future workload plan.

Does it account for holidays or class schedules?

No. You can adjust available days per week, but it does not know school calendars.

Can I copy the plan?

Yes. The copy summary includes the due date and daily workload estimate.
