Browser-based file processing

This PDF is processed in your browser and is not sent to a server, so the file stays private on this device.

Large PDFs may use a lot of browser memory.

Avoid uploading highly sensitive files to any online tool unless you understand how it works.

How this PDF split tool works

Choose one PDF, enter page numbers or ranges and press Extract pages. The tool loads the PDF in your browser with a browser-side PDF library, copies the selected pages into a new document and creates local downloads.

Page ranges and split modes

Use selected page extraction for ranges such as 1-3, 5 or 8-10. Pages are copied in the order entered, and duplicate or overlapping ranges are blocked so the result stays predictable. Use split every N pages when you want separate downloadable PDFs in equal page groups.

Privacy notes

The selected PDF is processed in this browser tab. NoNoiseTools does not need a server upload for this tool, and the generated PDF downloads are created locally.

The PDF is still loaded into the browser tab while you use the tool. Clearing the file or closing the tab removes the working copy from this page.

Large PDFs may use a lot of browser memory.

Browser-side processing avoids a required upload, but highly sensitive documents still need caution on any website, shared device or managed browser.

What this tool does not include

This tool does not merge PDFs, compress PDFs, edit text, OCR scanned pages, sign documents, fill forms, repair corrupt PDFs, remove watermarks or bypass password protection. It creates browser-generated copies from the pages you choose or from the split size you enter.

FAQs

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No required upload. The PDF is read in this browser tab, selected pages are copied into browser-generated downloads, and NoNoiseTools does not need a server upload for this tool.

Can I extract only certain pages?

Yes. Enter selected page ranges such as 1-3, 2,4 or 7-9.

Can I split a PDF every few pages?

Yes. Choose Split every N pages to create separate downloadable PDFs in equal page groups.

Can this split password-protected PDFs?

No. Protected or encrypted PDFs that cannot be opened by the browser-side library are rejected.

Does this compress the new PDF?

No. The output may be smaller because it has fewer pages, but PDF compression is a separate task.

Can I edit, sign or OCR a PDF here?

No. This tool only copies selected pages or page groups into new PDF files.

Why did splitting fail?

The PDF may be corrupt, encrypted, too large for browser memory or unsupported by the browser-side PDF library.

Is this safe for sensitive documents?

Browser-side processing avoids a required upload, but highly sensitive documents still need caution on any website, shared device or managed browser.
