How this word unscrambler works

The tool cleans the entered letters, counts each letter, then checks a compact general English word list for words that can be built from those letters. Results are grouped by length so longer and shorter options are easy to scan. By default, 2-letter words are hidden to keep casual results easier to read.

Tips for using the tool

Enter up to 15 letters or blanks. Add a question mark for each blank tile or unknown letter, and keep wildcard matching enabled if you want ? to stand in for any letter. Use starts-with, ends-with, contains, must-include and length filters when the result list is broad.

Word list scope

Word validity depends on the word list. Common English hides many short or rare word-game entries by default. The current list is SCOWL-derived, lowercase ASCII words from 2 to 15 letters, with no definitions, scores or official game validation.

What this tool does not include

This is not an official Scrabble, Words With Friends, crossword or tournament dictionary checker. It does not score words, validate board placement, use the official Wordle answer list or search live game data.
